It can be hard to see Easter Sunday from Good Friday. But it still arrives. A congregational song.

This song came out of a radio promotion for Easter I produced. That included the words ‘From despair to hope, from betrayal to forgiveness, from death to life. Join in the journey’. It seemed like a good basis for a song, and had a real resonance with my life at the time too.
1. Peter rejected his saviour and friend
But soon found god’s kingdom on him would depend.
Thomas was troubled, the good news denied
But Jesus in love placed his hand on his side
Chorus:
We’ll follow you, friend, through the doubt and dismay,
At the end of the road we will find your new way.
We’ll join in your journey to dawn from the night,
To gladness from sadness, from darkness to light
2. Mary was mourning the loss of her Lord
When Jesus restored her with one single word.
On Friday the fellowship thought hope was gone.
Come Sunday they woke to a blazing new dawn.
chorus
3. Sometimes our walk is with worry and fear –
We long for you, our prince of peace, to draw near.
And though in that place we can’t see where you’ll lead
We know you are risen, are risen indeed.
chorus to end
