Music and language are wonderful gifts from God. Combining them in song enables His people to express the inexpressible.

Creation sang as the dark became light,
It was lifting its voice up to God,
And David sang of God’s mercy and might,
He was lifting up his heart;

So sing to the Lord,
Sing of love, sing of faith, sing of joy, sing of hope,
Sing of all that He has done.
God gives us the words and our voices,
And music which says what our words cannot say.

The angels sang at the Saviour’s birth,
They were raising their voices to God,
And Mary sang of His justice on earth,
She was lifting up her heart;

So sing to the Lord…

God’s people sing, age to age never ending,
We’re raising our voices to God,
And all shall sing with our risen King,
We’ll be lifting up our hearts;

So sing to the Lord…
